Julien Dufour, CEO & EU ETS Lead AuditorJulien Dufour has over 14 years of experience in the aviation sector as consultant and airline manager. As an international aviation consultant, Julien has worked on aviation projects for airlines, airports, governments and financial institutions in over 30 countries worldwide on behalf of ICF SH&E, IATA Consulting and RDG-Solutions.
As consultant, he participated in the preparation and implementation of EU ETS monitoring plans for numerous airlines and business jet operators worldwide. As an EU ETS Lead Auditor and the founder and CEO of VerifAvia, he verified himself 18 airlines and coordinated all other EU ETS verification audits conducted by VerifAvia.
Julien is also a private pilot, he is based in Paris and speaks English, French and Spanish.

Gary Cleven, EU ETS Lead AuditorGary Cleven has over 20 years of international experience in the airline and aviation business including EU ETS for aviation, airline restructuring, network, fleet planning, revenue management and IT systems projects in more than 20 countries worldwide.
Gary started his career at Canadian Airlines and then moved to Dallas to work for American Airlines on hub restructuring, fleet planning and IT projects. Since then, he has worked on numerous aviation consulting projects with Lufthansa Consulting, Lufthansa Systems, Sabre Consulting, SH&E, Boeing and Airbus.
As consultant, Gary assisted several airlines in the preparation and implementation of the EU ETS monitoring plans. As an EU ETS Lead Auditor, Gary verified more than 26 airlines worldwide reporting to various competent authorities.

Nicolas Duchêne, EU ETS Lead AuditorNicolas Duchêne has been working on the evaluation of the impact of the aviation on the environment for the last 7 years. He has been involved in many projects aiming at providing accurate estimates of fuel, CO2 and other GHG output from aircraft with numerous partners - airlines, airports, civil aviation authorities, manufacturers, regulatory bodies from all over the world.
As an EU ETS Lead Auditor, Nicolas verified 11 airlines and nearly 50 small emitters worldwide reporting to several EU competent authorities. Nicolas is also a shareholder of ENVISA and participated in various meetings of the ICAO Committee for Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP) Models and Databases Group (MDG) on behalf of EUROCONTROL.
Nicolas speaks fluent French and English and is based in Paris.

Stefan Trepke, EU ETS Lead AuditorStefan Trepke used to work as a consultant specialized in the EU ETS for airlines in Europe and the Middle East. He designed various monitoring plans and supported the adjustment of the data management process to the requirements of the EU ETS. As an EU ETS Lead Auditor, Stefan verified 16 airlines worldwide reporting to various EU competent authorities.
Stefan holds a Master degree in Public Management and wrote his final thesis about the implementation of the Aviation EU ETS. He is based in Berlin and speaks fluent German, English and Spanish.

Tobias Konik, EU ETS Lead AuditorTobias is the company's number one EU ETS Lead Auditor for small emitters. Since joining VerifAvia in January 2011, he performed EU ETS verification audit of a large number of operators from 40 countries and reporting to 19 different EU competent authorities. Besides his work as verifier, Tobias participates in CleanSky – a € 1.6 Billion EU research program seeking to decrease the environmental footprint of aviation. His focus lies on the analysis of environmental constraints and their impact upon the behavior of airlines and business jet operators.
Tobias studied Economics in Bayreuth, Paris and Berlin, from where he graduated as M.Sc. end of 2010. He came to aviation when writing his master's thesis about the inclusion of aviation into the EU ETS. Tobias analyzed the impact of the allocation mechanism on the airline's competitiveness and the economic and environmental performance of the scheme.
Tobias is fluent in English, French and German.

Dan Pearce, EU ETS Lead AuditorDan Pearce is a research engineer who has worked in the aviation environment section since 2005. His work has focused on aviation local air quality modelling, CO2 metric development, studies into perception and communication of error and uncertainty, methods of virtualisation and visualisation of data for non-experts and a number of environmental impact assessments and data analysis tasks for European clients.
Dan's initial background was in Mechanical Engineering, specialising in Aeronautics. Dan has published a number of papers over the last few years in industry, conference proceedings and in academic and industrial journals. He also presents regularly in both research forums and conferences. He has just moved from London to Paris.

Sandrine Carlier-Haouzi, EU ETS Lead AuditorSandrine Haouzi is an Aircraft Emission Modelling Expert and has proven experience in the design and execution of Global Aviation Emission studies aiming at estimate fuel burn, CO2 and GHG other emissions in support of major operational projects since 2000. She is involved in the ICAO Committee for Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP) Models and Databases Group (MDG) activities on behalf of EUROCONTROL. She has previously worked on several projects in the aviation sector and rocket propulsion systems.
Sandrine participated in the verification of EU ETS emissions of more than 45 small emitters. She speaks fluent French and English and is based in Paris.

Ayce Celikel, EU ETS Lead AuditorAyce Celikel is an aviation environmental expert and became ENVISA's President in 2007. She holds a Master's in Engineering in Environmental Managementand has extensive experience in airport, airlines, ANSPs, CAA and other aviation related stakeholders respective to environmental studies. She has participated in numerous international conferences and working groups specialized in aviation and the environment and has a wide knowledge on people's perception of environmental matters (noise, air quality, emissions, sustainability, corporate environmental awareness, fuel reduction techniques,trade-offs etc..).
Ayce speaks English, French and Turkish, and is based in Paris.
