​The EUROCONTROL tool for small emitters is in process of approval

The European Commission (EC) is about to approve the Commission Regulation for the approval of a simplified tool implemented by EUROCONTROL to estimate the fuel consumption of small emitting aircraft operators using the simplified procedure. It is interesting to note that the tool will use the actual route length of each flight based upon air traffic and operational flight information and will estimate the fuel consumed during all aspects of a particular flight: departure gate, taxiing operations, take-off, cruise, landing, and air traffic management actions. The EC is now developing the criteria of approval of the tools for estimating of fuel consumption for small emitters.
