Laying of second stage Aviation EU ETS Regulations in the UK

The UK laid its second stage Regulations before Parliament on 6 August 2010. The Regulations complete work to transpose the Aviation EU ETS Directive (2008/101/EC). The final Regulations (the Aviation Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Scheme Regulations 2010), Final Impact Assessment and Explanatory Memorandum can be downloaded from the legislation.gov.uk website. The Regulations, which come into force on 31 August 2010, put in place additional requirements on operators and the remaining powers that the regulators will need to administer the Aviation EU ETS.Back to all Verifavia News
