How is the individual rate calculated?

The aircraft operator's growth factor is calculated by the following formula:

Example of calculation of aircraft operator's growth factor for the year 2031:

Let's assume the average of the aircraft operator's emissions covered by CORSIA between 2019 and 2020 is 5,480,000 tonnes of CO2. Further let's assume the total emissions covered by CORSIA in 2031 is 6,790 000 tonnes of CO2. (These numbers are only educated guesses for a middle-sized aircraft operator).

The aircraft operator's growth factor for 2031 would be in this example 19.3 per cent.
