The Commission published the updated list of operators in EU ETS with / without Brexit

06/02/2019

The European Commission published today the updated list of aircraft operators subject to the EU ETS as it has been doing each year in February over the past 9 years. However, this time the Commission published two lists:
  1. One list assuming business as usual (no Brexit)
  2. One list assuming Brexit in which the operators administered by the UK are re-allocated to other EU Member States
The second list becomes applicable only in case the first list ceases to apply to and in the UK from the day the UK leaves the EU (the withdrawal date).
