The Portuguese Environment Agency publishes the regulation on EU ETS verification

15/09/2010

The Portuguese Environment Agency, the Competent Authority of Portugal for EU ETS, has just released the regulation on the recognition of verifiers under the EU ETS Directive. Portugal will accept foreign verification bodies that are accredited by a national accreditation body that is a member of the European Co-operation for Accreditation (EA) which is the case of both COFRAC and UKAS. Both VerifAvia SARL (France) and VerifAvia (UK) Ltd will be allowed to verify EU ETS reports of aircraft operators administered by Portugal.
