Carbon Footprint Verification for airports and aviation

In addition to being a leading global provider of carbon emissions verification services for aviation (265 airlines verified in 2020 for EU ETS / CORSIA) and maritime transport (2000+ ships verified in 2020 for EU MRV / IMO DCS), Verifavia is also a leading provider of carbon footprint verification services for airports and aviation.

In 2020, Verifavia has been contracted to verified Carbon Footprints of more than 60 organisations from 28 countries. Some of our most notable clients include the LATAM Airlines Group and EasyJet, as well as a number of airports through the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) scheme such as Brazzaville Airport, Strasbourg Airport, Blaise Diagne Airport, EuroAirport, Grand-Case Espérance Airport, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Liège Airport, Monaco Heliport, Casablanca Mohammed V Airport, Las Américas Airport, Phnom Penh Airport, Stockholm Skavsta Airport, and many others.

Since its founding in 2010, Verifavia has verified more than 165 Carbon Footprints across more than 90 organizations from 40 different countries, including several groups of airlines (Qatar Airways Group, LATAM Airlines Group and EasyJet Group), numerous airports from all four continents, and the ride-sharing company Bolt.

In 2015 and again in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, Verifavia verified the carbon inventory of the Qatar Airways Group. The verified data is presented in the Qatar Airways Group Sustainability Reports along with the complete assurance statement from Verifavia. Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) verifiers

Verifavia employs eight team members that are individually approved by ACI Europe and listed on the ACA’s website as recognised verifiers. This includes five new team members who passed their ACA exams in late 2020 with scores of 95% or higher. Our ACA verifiers speak Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Bosnian.

New ACA levels: 4 & 4+

In the context of Airport Carbon Accreditation, the programme now spans across 6 levels of accreditation, including the new levels 4 “Transformation and 4+ “Transition”.  We expect to offer level 4 and 4+ verification services in the near future.
