For the second time, VERIFAVIA has successfully verified the 2015-2016 carbon footprint report of the Qatar Airway Group, which includes the following subsidiary businesses:

  • Qatar Aviation Services (QAS)
  • Qatar Duty Free (QDF)

  • Qatar Distribution Company (QDC)
  • Hamad International Airport Qatar (HIA)
The criteria used by Qatar Airways Group to report the carbon inventory data was the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. For Hamad International Airport, the carbon inventory data was also based on the requirements of the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) programme.

VERIFAVIA conducted the independent audit based on the following verification criteria:

  • ISO14065:2013
  • ISO14064-3:2012
  • The Greenhouse Gas Protocol
  • The Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) rules
VERIFAVIA delivered an assurance statement to the Qatar Airways Group which can be found at page 65 of the Qatar Airways Group Sustainability Report 2015 -2016.

Following the independent verification, Hamad International Airport is now accredited to the Level 1 'Mapping' of the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) programme.
