Verifavia has obtained the first in principle approval from Smart Freight Centre under its Conformity Assessment Scheme

Paris, 02nd October 2023 - Verifavia has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first validation and verification body to obtain “in principle approval” from Smart Freight Centre under its Conformity Assessment Scheme (CAS).

A Milestone Achievement

This recognition marks a significant step forward in Verifavia's commitment to supporting the global maritime, aviation, road, and rail industries in reducing their carbon footprint. To reach the final step of Smart Freight Centre approval process, Verifavia’s individual verifiers must now undergo training by Smart Freight Centre and pass the subsequent exam. This is planned to take place in the month. Until this happens, Smart Freight Centre has issued an “in principle approval”. This milestones underscores Verifavia's dedication to excellence and adherence to the highest standards of verification and validation.

Smart Freight Centre is a non-profit organization dedicated to sustainable freight transportation. Its new Conformity Assessment Scheme is a rigorous program designed to ensure that validation and verification bodies meet stringent requirements for competent and impartial assurance of GHG Emissions Statements.
